Common Questions

There can be a lot of information on websites and not always in the right place.  Hopefully this summary of the most commonly asked questions can help you.

 

- What services do you provide?

We provide a range of services from day to day bookkeeping, payroll, VAT compliance and accounts preparation. We also provide personal and business tax services. Each service can be tailored to the suit the clients needs.

- How do you structure your fees, and what is included?

Our fees can be based on an hourly rate or a fixed retainer rate which sets a fixed fee and can be paid over the year by monthly instalments.

- What are your qualifications and regulatory credentials?

We are a licensed practice with the Association of Accounting Technicians under whom  we do all our training including our Money Laundering Training and requirements.

- Do you have experience with businesses similar to mine?

Our client portfolio includes a range of businesses of all shapes and sizes and from all sectors.

- What accounting software do you support?

We are certified partners with Xero and Freeagent and can work with other packages such as SAGE, QuickBooks and some other bespoke packages.  We try and find the best software that suits each client both in what it offers and what it costs.

- How do you help clients stay compliant and avoid penalties?

We bring a proactive approach to our work and to dealing with all our clients.  We ensure all our complaints stay up to date so that they remain compliance.  We send regular reminders of deadlines etc but where client actions are required the most we can do I give you a little nudge.

- Will I have a dedicated contact person?

As we a re a small family firm you will always have a member of staff looking out for you.  They will keep in touch with you and always be available to speak with or answer any queries you have.  Be that face to face, over the phone, via email or via WhatsApp.

- Can you support my business growth and profitability?

We don’t just provide financial information, we help you understand it.  What you are doing right and what you might be doing wrong.  What you might be spending a lot on and what you might be not spending enough on.  Wee help you understand your numbers and how they help you grow.

- How often will we communicate and review our progress?

As communication is a key part of our business service, we always try and keep in touch with our clients.  Sometimes this is dictated by them, other times it dictated by events.  Most of the time we like to just have a catch up with them and see what is going on in their world.

- How is my data kept secure and confidential?

As we used trust partners like Xero, the security of their clients data is paramount.  

Internally we are a fully digitised office with everything stored securely, password protected and back up by Two Factor Authentication.

These files are backed up and store on cloud servers so that everything is protected.  

Any paperwork, once digitised is securely disposed of using an approved supplier.  

We operate strict confidentiality amongst all our clients especially when there clients involved in the same line of work or industry.
